Family spa

During the autumn holidays, Best Western in Karlshamn opens its spa for all ages. Bring the whole family for some spa pampering! Open for all ages Monday-Friday during week 44 between 08:00-12:00. Other times: 16-year-old limit. Children of all ages are welcome during the autumn holidays, but at least one adult must be present at all times.

Board game cafe

Play board games for free at Brädspelkaféet in Karlshamn during the autumn holidays. Try games you didn’t know existed, games you’ve wanted to try but haven’t had the chance to try yet or bring out the old goodies from among your favorite games. Free on these days during the autumn holidays:

The famous Mörrum river

Visit the Mörrum Salmon Fishing, a fun activity for the whole family. Experience the powerful river that is world famous for its salmon fishing. For the children, it is extra exciting to walk across the bridges with the rushing river below. Inside Laxens Hus (the salmon house) you will find an exhibition highlighting the life of the salmon and the challenges it faces. Find out more about the history of the Mörrum river and its fishing. In the 13 meter long aquarium you can view some of the species that inhabit the river. Open Monday-Friday 09:00-16:00. Also, take a wonderful hike along the trail “Laxaleden” that stretches along the river.

Swimming pools

If you want to splash and play, you should visit Väggabadet with your family. Swim and play in pools with heated sea water. Enjoy swimming pools, water slide, jacuzzi, hot water pool, sauna, steam room, gym and cafeteria. During some days on the autumn holidays there will be a 16 meter long obstacle course in the large pool. Museums

If you want to get to know Karlshamn a little bit better, you should visit the museums in the city center.
Karlshamns Museum, situated in the old town/the cultural district and is open weekdays between 13:00-16:00. Visit all three museums in the district – Karlshamn City Museum, Skottsbergska gården (one of Sweden’s best preserved merchant’s houses from the 18th century) and Sweden’s only Punch Museum. The entrance fee to all three museums is 50 SEK/person.
Also visit the Maritime Museum, situated by the harbour close to the east pier. It is open weekdays between 10:00-13:00 and is free of charge. Explore sailors’ memorabilia from distant lands, the lighthouse of Ortholmen and a large iron anchor from an English soldier from the early 1800s.

Beautiful nature

Visit Långasjönäs nature reserve, a beautiful forest area with lakes, hiking trails and barbecue areas. The area is called Nytorpet and here you will find several hiking trails. Go hiking, take a dip in the lake, warm up in the sauna, grill and just enjoy the wonderful surroundings.

The Sternö-Boön nature reserve is another beautiful natural area for those interested in hiking, nature, cultural history, geology or just getting out in beautiful and relaxing surroundings. This area is beautifully located by the sea in Karlshamn and has hiking trails and barbecue areas as well.
