Bicycle trail – Sydostleden
“Sydostleden” (The Southeast Trail) is a 27 mile long cycle trail in southern Sweden that gives you a varied nature experience from the saddle. The southeast trail goes from Växjö to Simrishamn. Four miles of the trail run through the municipality of Karlshamn. Start cycling in the peaceful forests of Småland, along the coast in the south and finish at Österlen in Skåne.

Bicycle trail – Banvallsleden
“Banvallsleden” is a 25 mile long cycle trail between Karlshamn and Halmstad. Here you cycle in beautiful varied nature along the old railway embankment (two disused narrow-gauge railway lines) that runs from Halmstad via Ljungby, Alvesta, Tingsryd and Olofström, to Karlshamn. The train lines were built at the end of the 19th century and were in operation until around 1970.

Bicycle trails in the forest
Bike trails in Lingonbacken
The bicycle trails is found at the bottom of the old ski slope “Lingonbacken” in Karlshamn. There are three mountain bike trails to cycle: Yellow 0.9 km, White 4 km and Turquoise 6.6 km. Here is also Cykelmartin’s Adventure Track, which is 600 meters long. It is found approximately 1 kilometer into the Vit/Turkos tracks.
MTB trail at Eriksberg
Mountainbike trail that starts by the information board at Outdoor Eriksberg. The length of the track is 1.8 km and the level is medium difficulty. Follow pink cuttings and follow the trail as a figure eight, clockwise direction. You can rent a bike and help via Eriksberg.

Naturskyddsföreningen (The Swedish Society for Nature Conservation) has produced a cycle map of Karlshamn that shows the larger routes and a coherent network of cycle paths and low-traffic roads where it is nice to go by bike. In Karlshamn you can rent bikes at Karlshamns Vandrarhem (youth hostel), Kolleviks Camping (campsite), Långasjönäs Camping (campsite), Eriksberg Hotel & Nature Reserve, at the train station and close to the guest harbour in the city center.

Bicycle pump
Bicycle pumps are available at the square in the city center, at Östra Piren (the east pier) and at the train station. You can also pump your bike tires at a petrol station if you have a bike with a car valve. Keep in mind that it is very quick to pump up a bicycle tire with an air pump intended for cars.
