Archipelago timetables

The archipelago boats depart from the center of Karlshamn, Matvik and Järnavik. The boat stops at the fortress island Kastellet in Karlshamn’s harbour inlet, and at the islands Tärnö, Tjärö, Östra Bokö, Fölsö, Ekö and Joggesö. During high season you can also go by boat to Eriksbergs nature reserve.

Buy ticket on board the boat and pay with cash, Swish or a bank card. The ticket price depends on the line and the length of the trip. You will find price examples in the timetables. Children between the ages of 7 and 19 have a 40 percent discount and two children under the age of 7 travel for free when accompanied by an adult.

Blekingetrafikens “summer ticket” is valid on the boats (and also on train and buses).

Boat tours to the island Kastellet during low season is free of charge. Please note that the cafe at Kastellet is only open during low season, so bring a picnic basket during high season.

Archipelago tours run by Tjärö

The boat from Järnavik to Tjärö runs between May 3 and September 15. The ferry takes about 15 minutes one way. The ferry cannot be pre-booked and travels back and forth until all passengers have boarded. Tickets are bought at the reception on Tjärö and then shown on the boat on the way home.

Price: 100 SEK/adult adults and 35 SEK/children 5-12 years (return ticket).
