Spectacular bridges at Eriksberg

Spectacular bridges on the shores of Eriksberg are now ready – a milestone for Blekinge’s coastal hiking!

Since the ARK56 concept was launched by Blekinge Arkipelag, the vision has been to create a continuous coastal hiking trail along the entire Blekinge coast. Now an important step has been taken in this ambition: two new bridges over the straits “Kohagesundet” and “Boksundet” are ready and connect the scenic trails Allböleleden and Kohageleden to a completely new trail – the Eriksberg hiking trail (Eriksbergsleden).

Located in the unique Eriksberg Nature Reserve, the bridges offer visitors a great opportunity to explore the area’s dramatic coastal landscape and rich wildlife. The new connections make it easier than ever to walk in this part of Blekinge, which borders the well-known Eriksberg Hotel & Nature Reserve.

A 100 metre long, technically advanced suspension bridge has been built over the strait “Boksundet”, and a wooden footbridge about 185 metres long has been built over the strait “Kohagesundet”, which connects “Kohagen” with “Dragsö”.

The two newly renovated gun emplacements, which are adjacent to the trail Allböleleen, are good places to stay for those who want to extend their stay in nature.

Car parking is available at Outdoor Eriksberg (N 56°11’26“ E 15°00’00”) and Björnahemmet (N 56°10’15“ E 14°59’03”), which are the start and stop of the Eriksberg hiking trail depending on where you choose to start your hike.

Want to hike the Eriksberg hiking trail without having to take two cars or look for parking? Since the trail does not have the same starting and ending point you can use local transport (via Blekingetrafiken) from Karlshamn train station. It makes the trip both smoother and more sustainable.

During high season, you can take the archipelago boat from Karlshamn or Matvik to Bruksviken pier in Eriksberg’s nature reserve.
